Wine cooler has several hundred years’ history. At first, it is in existence in different forms. Although useful in the past, these forms are quite inconvenient and in low efficiency.
At first, the ice rooms were used in keeping the wine cold. These ice rooms or iceboxes were commonly found near the rivers packed with frozen water for keeping food and milk cold. This method was eventually led to the invention of the first wine coolers.
Then stored ice was stored in caves and pits in storing food, drinks and furs. This leaded to the development of wine coolers.
As the development of chemicals, commercial refrigeration appeared. Chemicals and liquids were combined together to produce an endothermic reaction. Wine coolers went a step further.
By 1834, the first home refrigerator was made available and started the process of modern refrigeration with use of vapors instead of using chemicals and liquids to cool wine. Later on, more modern wine coolers became available.
